Refunds & cancellation

In one sentence: cancel whenever you like from inside the app, payments already taken are not refunded, and if something is actually wrong we will fix it - write to us and we answer within 24 hours. Last updated 19 September 2026.

Payments are not refunded

When you subscribe, your credits and your access are available to you straight away, and a generation you have run cannot be un-run. So, outside any statutory right you have, a payment that has been taken is not returned - including a 6-month term, which is also not prorated. There is no refund button in the app and there is no automatic refund.

If something is wrong, we fix it

That is not the same as being on your own. Email hello@tryperso.com from the address on your receipt, tell us what happened, and we will answer within 24 hours.

If the service did not do what it is supposed to do, we fix it - or we put the credits back so you can run it again.
If a generation failed or was refused, the credits are already back on your balance automatically. See below; that is not a refund request.
If you cannot get into an account you have paid for, write to us and we will get you back in. That is the most common thing people email about and it is always fixable.
A person reads every message. We would far rather hear from you than see a dispute.

How to cancel

Open the app, go to Profile, and choose Cancel plan. It takes effect immediately and you will see it confirmed on screen. If you cannot reach the app for any reason, email us and we will cancel it for you.

Cancelling and refunding are two different things, and cancelling is the only one of them that exists here. The cancel screen will tell you that cancelling is not a refund, and it will not offer you one, because a payment already taken is not returned. Cancelling stops what you have not been charged for yet - nothing more. If the problem is that something is broken rather than that you want out, email hello@tryperso.com instead of cancelling, and give us a chance to fix it first.

⚠️ What cancelling does, and what it does not do

This is the part worth reading before you buy a 6-month term.

It stops the next charge: You will not be billed again. That takes effect at once.
You keep what you have already paid for: Access continues to the end of the term you paid for, and your monthly credit allowance keeps arriving until then. We do not cut you off on the day you cancel.
It does not refund the current term: Cancelling a 6-month term does not return any of it, and it is not prorated. If you cancel in month two of six, you keep the remaining four months of access and receive no money back. Choose the monthly term if you would rather not commit.
Credits are not taken back: If we refund you, we do not reverse credits you have already spent. We also do not remove images you have generated.
Unused credits are not cashed out: A monthly allowance resets each month and does not roll over, so there is no accumulated balance to refund.

Failed generations

These are not a refund request. If a generation fails or times out, the credits go back to your balance automatically, without you asking and usually before you have noticed. If you ever see credits missing for something that did not arrive, email us and we will put them back.

If we cannot fix it

Tell us anyway. We would rather hear from you than see a dispute, and if the service is not working for you the sensible move is to cancel so you are not charged for another term - we will do that for you if you would rather not click through it yourself.

Please email before you dispute

A card dispute takes weeks, costs us more than fixing the problem does, and cannot get you a faster outcome than asking us directly. If something is wrong, write to hello@tryperso.com and we will sort it out - we answer within 24 hours. Raising a dispute without having asked us first is a breach of section 8 of the terms, and we would much rather fix it than rely on that.

Statutory rights

Nothing here removes rights you have by law. If you are in the UK or EU and have a statutory right of withdrawal that is more generous than this policy, that right applies instead. Note that generated output is digital content supplied immediately, and by subscribing you ask for it to be made available to you at once, which in some jurisdictions ends the right of withdrawal as soon as generation has begun. Where a right of yours cannot lawfully be excluded, it applies regardless of anything above.
